Join us once again for the annual “nearly famous” gin and jam sale, in support of refugees and asylum seekers, on Hopetoun Road (opposite The Farm pub). This is part of / alongside St Werburghs City Farm Winter Fair.

Christmas Concert 2019

Join us for our annual Christmas concert, at the lovely St. Stephen’s church, just off Corn Street in the centre of town. We will be playing a selection of Christmas music plus some favourites from the year.

The Fair Fayre at the Bristol Folk House

What: Part of Fair Saturday, a global movement to generate positive social impact

When: Saturday 30th September, 7.30 pm

Where: The Folk House, Park Street, Bristol

Tickets: £3 in advance / £4 door

The Fantasy Orchestra is joining forces with local wind orchestra Westerly Winds for an evening of music from cinema, musicals and theatre. This is part of the Fair Saturday, a celebration of artist and culture and promoting good in the world. Funds raised from this concert will help those who can’t otherwise afford it to attend courses at the Folk House.

Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool

What: A performance of A Moon Shaped Pool in full!

The orchestra will be playing a lot of Radiohead, plus other songs, in this very exciting gig at the wonderful St George’s Hall.

The evening will consist of a musical journey from Duke Ellington to Radiohead, “Exotica, Electronica and the Retro Futuists”, featuring music by Les Baxter, Moondog, Stereolab and Tortoise amongst others, followed by a performance of Moon Shaped Pool in its entirety. Tickets are becoming very scarce so book now!

Smugglers’ Festival

The orchestra will be playing at this festival in Kent, alongside Rozi Plain, Alabaster de Plume, Yama Warashi and many others.

Sefton Park Road Street Party

What: A party on Sefton Park Road

The Fantasy Orchestra will be playing at this year’s Sefton Park Road “Street Party in Space”, featuring a collection of our most interstellar / cosmic / otherworldly / out-there tunes. The gig is at 6 but the party starts at 12.30, and features other bands and activities.

Thornbury Sailing Club

What: A party in Thornbury Sailing Club

Where:  Thornbury Sailing Club

This will be the culmination of a week-long camping even for the orchestra, so expect lots of happy musicians playing lots of happy music.

Refugee Festival

The Fantasy Orchestra will be furthering their support of the plight of refugees, at the flagship ‘Celebrating Sanctuary’ event, part of Bristol Refugee Festival.
